Fall Fun in Tampa Bay - Our Favorite Spooky Season Events!
As we finish up the first full week of October, in the midst of a pretty strange year, many of us might be ready to dive head first into fall activities. From pumpkin patches and farmers markets, to scavenger hunts and haunted boat roads - there are plenty of fall-friendly seasonal activities for everyone. Luckily, for those of us who prefer a more socially distanced way to spend the spooky season - Tampa has covered all options!
We wanted to showcase just a few of our favorite fall events coming up this month.
Heights Fall Festival
October 10th & 11th
For the third year in a row, Armature Works is hosting their Heights Fall Festival! A two-day, outdoor, family-friendly, event held on the Armature Works Pier. With a few changes this year to encourage social distancing, this event will still feature a pumpkin patch, live music, a craft beer corner, and much more.

Hyde Park Pumpkin Patch
Daily through October 31st
Pumpkin Patch returns to Hyde Park Village with a socially distant spin. Bring the whole family to pick out the perfect pumpkin while helping out The Humane Society of Tampa Bay. Click here for the Facebook Event Page with more hours and information

Haunted Wharf
October 15th-17th
Hop on the trolley down to Sparkman's Wharf for an interactive spook-tacular maze on the waterside wharf. This event will have photo ops and other worldly visitors roaming the area. This event is perfect for kids and adults. Tickets for the Haunted Wharf maze are only $10 and must be purchased in advance.

Fall at Southern Hill Farms
Thursdays-Sundays, through November 8th
We know its a hike, but if you're looking for a fall-filled day trip - take the family out to Southern Hill Farms in Clermont! With a Pumpkin Patch, Complimentary Farm Wagon rides. u-pick Sunflower fields, Local craft beer, apple cider donuts, Southern Hill Sweets, and SO much more - this is truly the perfect place to pack in all the Fall fun at once! Tickets start at just $7.99 but keep in mind - online admission ticket purchases are required, as well as time reservations for weekends and don't forget to bring your mask!

Hunsader Farms 29th Annual Pumpkin Festival
Oct. 10-11, 17-18, 24-25 9am-5pm
If you're looking for a little bit of a closer option for a fall fun filled day, head down to Bradenton! The whole family can visit the pumpkin patch, or make their way through the Corn Maze. There are tons of family activities including Pony Rides, Food Galore, Rock Climbing Wall, Petting Zoo, Barnyard Playground, Train Rides and so much more.

Haunted River Tours
Hop aboard the Pirate Water Taxi for a frighteningly good time on the water. For select nights in October, you can immerse yourself with tales of ghosts and haunted history along the Hillsborough River. Tickets start at just $25

Riverwalk Halloween Hunt
Staring October 17th
A family-friendly virtual scavenger hunt along the Tampa Riverwalk that is perfect for all ages. This is a great chance to get in the spooky spirit while keeping your distance. Participants will solve riddles, puzzles, tasks and explore the beautiful Riverwalk. There is an app and QR code required for this that is all available starting on October 17th!

Halloween Lighted Boat Parade
October 24th
This is a first for Tampa Bay! We are so used to Christmas parades, but this year we're getting spooky with it! Bring the family down the Hillsborough River to see boats decorated in an amazing display of decorations and lights parading over the Tampa Bay area. Time to get creative with fun Halloween themes and crew costumes! You can reserve seating or even register your boat to join the fun.An Eerie

Evening at the Tampa Bay Hotel

Looking for a more daring adventure? Visit the Plant Museuym for a thrilling Halloween event and try to solve a murder mystery before the next victim falls! Period lighting and candles set the stage for a night of of fun while allowing visitors to travel to a time long past. Tickets start at $15 for members.

South Seminole Heights Trick or Treat at Rivercrest Park
October 31st
For a night of Trick or Treating in the Heights, the South Seminole Heights Civic Association has worked with Tampa Parks and Recreation to allow extended hours at Rivercrest Park on Halloween to allow local children to trick or treat in the park. You are able to set up and decorate a table to pass out candy for the neighborhood. To assure the safety of residents and visitors, participants setting up tables must RSVP and follow some guidelines listed on the Facebook Event Page.

Guppyween Lite at the Florida Aquarium
October 31 and November 1 – 9:30 A.M. - 9:00 P.M.
A great way to spend Halloween night with the kiddos in a socially distanced way is at the Florida Aquarium! Kids in costume under the age of 11 will also get a Halloween surprise.
"Put on your costumes and visit your favorite sea creatures from the otters to the sharks and beyond."

I know this is just a "short" list of the amazing fall activities happening in Tampa, but what can I say - when it's still 90 degrees in the fall, we need to get in that fall feeling somehow. Let us know if you are excited for any of these events!
